Winners of the International Competition Dedicated to Pushkin Awarded in Tbilisi
The winners of the 1st International Video Contest "I am here" dedicated to A.S. Pushkin have been announced. The contest was held with the support of the non-governmental organization GeorgiaPress. At the award ceremony, which took place at the Smirnov Museum and was timed to coincide with Pushkin Memorial Day (February 10), the participants from different parts of Georgia were greeted by a member of the jury, a descendant of the great poet, now living in Moscow, Baron Serge Grevenits. "Dear friends! Unfortunately, I could not be with you today, but I would like to congratulate you all on your participation in this wonderful contest. It is a great joy for me to see your interest in my ancestor. Thank you very much! And once again, I congratulate everyone," Serge Grevenits noted in his address.
Certificates, books, valuable prizes - tablets and a mobile phone, the winners were awarded by Honorary Citizen of Tbilisi, public and political figure, editor of the newspaper "Vrastan" Van Bayburt, UEFA media officer, representative of the Georgian Football Federation Mamuka Kvaratskhelia, journalist from Uzbekistan Gulnora Abdunazarova, director of GeorgiaPress Miranda Oganezova, Head of the Stadium Department of the Georgian Football Federation Mamuka Kvaratskhelia presented the winners with footballs and T-shirts. Participants from the regions of Georgia attended the award ceremony. They had the opportunity to get acquainted with the unique collection of the House of Smirnov-Rosset, the maid of honor of Empress Maria Feodorovna, to whom Pushkin dedicated more than one poem. The director of the museum Baia Amashukeli conducted a tour especially for the participants of the competition. The winners of the competition were chosen in several categories. The winner of the International Video Contest "I am here" in the adult group was Alina Abdulkhalimova from Marneuli (Georgia). The second place was taken by Zinaida Kantsir (Moldova), Alexandra Zamula (Georgia). In the children's category, the winners from Georgia were Nikita Siordia (Senaki), Ellada Kichikova (Opreti village). The second place was taken by: Dmitry Moskalchuk (Tbilisi), Valeria Stelmashova (Akhalkalaki). Among the foreign participants, the first place was taken by: Payrav Rahimi (Dushanbe, Tajikistan) Children's Musical Theater "Gameny" (Paris, France). The second place was taken by David Harutyunyan (Gyumri, Armenia), Nadira Zakirova (Tashkent, Uzbekistan).
Mamuka Kvaratskhelia said "In the near future, I plan to visit the smallest Russian school in Georgia, whose students also won the video contest, and I will give all the students from the remote village balls, T-shirts and other sports equipment. This contest once again showed that Georgia is a tolerant country and open to different cultures. "
The special prize of the descendant of A.S. Pushkin Serge Grevenits was won by Yasmina Kadyrova from Uzbekistan. Rostislav Maremora from Transnistria, Moldova and Mane Stelmashova from Georgia won in the "Young Talent" nomination. The Opreti Public School was the most active in the contest. Students of this school Robert Manucharyan, Angelina Avetisyan will receive certificates of honor and incentive prizes. A certificate was also awarded to the Russian language teacher of the Opret school, Alisa Urumova.
The oldest participant in the competition - teacher, artist, poet, journalist Victoria Popova - is 80 years old. She was awarded for popularizing the Russian language. And the youngest Rostislav Maremora is 7 years old.
