For Georgian schoolchildren, the "Train of Memory" project became not only an educational journey but also a personal encounter with history.

TBILISI, July 8 — Sputnik. The Georgian delegation concluded its participation in the anniversary season of the international cultural and educational project "Train of Memory," which brought together 200 high school students from 18 countries over 15 days.

Children from various cities across Georgia, along with their peers from Belarus, Russia, and other countries, completed a long memory route dedicated to the history of the Great Patriotic War. During the journey, the participants visited 13 cities in Belarus and Russia and traveled 7,500 kilometers on a Russian Railways train. In total, up to 30,000 people supported the train. In each city, the students received a warm and solemn welcome.

The project's final events coincided with Minsk Liberation Day. A celebratory fireworks display accompanied by the song "Trains of Memory" thundered in Victory Square in the Belarusian capital. It is symbolic that the anniversary season ended in Minsk and began at the walls of the Brest Fortress, where the Great Patriotic War began.
